Corollary Multiport I/O subsystems provide high-performance connectivityfor RS-232 devices such as terminals, modems, and printers. Usingterminal concentrators, cable installation and maintenance costs aredramatically reduced.The 8/tc+ Intelligent Terminal Concentrator multiplexes eight RS-232ports onto a single twisted pair wire for transmission to the corollary8x2 or 8x4 host adapter, permitting terminals to be located up to 1feet from the host. It implements the TXD, RXD, and DCD RS-232 signalsusing eight RJ-11 connectors with data rates up to 38,400 baud. Anonboard Z80 CPU implements local software flow control for reliable,high-speed data transfers.
